SEARCHING IS THE NAME OF THE GAME

Trout Fisherman (UK) - - Advice Squad -

While we might start our session on the sheltered shore, we can quickly out-fish, or disturb an area that eventually seems devoid of fish. As few clues exist to lead us directly to where trout might be feeding, we need to make a methodical search of the water. Whether you’re drifting from a boat or bank fishing, quartering the water by fan casting (diagram 9) should become second nature. Obviously, where fish are then hooked, the area should be subjected to a thorough going over once more.
