Trout & Salmon (UK) - - READING RIVERS -

I often see fishers just using a floating line with a mono leader. This setup has limitations. Many beats offer a variety of water: a pool might have a fast, shallow head, a deep and slow middle, and a smoothly flowing tail. To present your fly properly (speed and depth) in each part, use a variety of poly leaders or lines with changeable tips of different densities. A multi-tip line is also useful as it reduces the number of reels you need, saving money, and reducing weight when travelling. 2
