The Ballacher Estate, south-east of Loch Ness and the Great Glen, has frontage on the north bank of Loch Ruthven. Dores is six miles away and Inverness 14. Ballacher Steading, overlooking the loch, is a U-shaped building of traditional stone under slate roof converted in 1970 to provide two reception rooms, four bedrooms, bathroom and shower room, rod room and drying room. The Spring Cottage, adjacent to the main house, was modernised in 2016 to provide kitchen, dining and living area, two bedrooms, bathroom and shower room. Land extends to 287 acres, bisected by a minor public road, and includes pasture, rough grazing, wood and hill land. There is more than ¾-mile of frontage to the loch and ownership of the riparian fishing rights.
