Your thoughts on game-fish­ing mat­ters

Of course Stan Headley is right (“The tem­per­a­ture’s ris­ing”, De­cem­ber 2018). We an­glers need to make more noise. Here’s one sug­ges­tion. I plan to pho­to­copy cer­tain ar­ti­cles about the filthy salmon-farm­ing in­dus­try and put them on car wind­screens, plead­ing with peo­ple not to buy smoked farmed salmon. If we all did this, the in­dus­try would start scream­ing and politi­cians would sit up and take more no­tice of their filthy and de­struc­tive prac­tices. I have al­ready writ­ten to the Chi­nese Em­bassy in Lon­don sug­gest­ing they should pro­hibit the im­por­ta­tion of Scot­tish farmed salmon. We should be writ­ing to other em­bassies, too.
