Long house on the Coquet
Pethfoot House at Felton is a Grade II listed 17th century detached Northumberland long house developed from a 12th century tower guarding Felton Bridge, midway between Alnwick and Morpeth, with frontage to the River Coquet, which holds salmon and sea-trout. Newcastle is a 30-minute commute and the coast is some 15 minutes away. It has two reception rooms, a study, a large living room, summer room and garden room, five bedrooms and a bathroom. A converted Coach House provides a large sitting room and dining room, two bedrooms and a bathroom. Grounds of two acres along the riverbank include fishing rights.
