Trout & Salmon (UK) - - FISHING REPORTS -

THE PAST few weeks have given us the chance to walk the river to view any damage from the recent flooding in the valley. A couple of footbridges have been damaged and will need replacing in the coming months along with numerous stiles and benches. Preparations for next season are under way. Anglers should also note that the usual access to the river at Morben and Quay Ward for tidal waters is restricted. Due to a incident regarding a train and livestock one evening a few weeks ago Network Rail have now chained and padlocked crossing gates. Access is still possible with a short walk and paths under the railway. Please remember that it is an offence to be walking the railway and, if caught by BTP, offenders can be punished with a hefty fine. The Rhiwlas, coded gate and Llyn Morgan crossings remain the same. As I write, most catch returns are in and by the next issue I should be able to give a full report on last season. Bookings for weekly tickets for the coming season are now being taken. For all information regarding Dovey Association water in 2019 please contact our secretary Richard Evans (01654 702721),or write to Richard at NDFA ,The Plas, machynlleth, powys, SY20 8ER. I remain at gwil. [email protected] for any assistance. – GH THOMAS.
