Director Ben Younger’s second feature is pitched midway between a typical New York romcom and one of Woody Allen’s neurotic comedies of manners. Uma Thurman gets a chance to flex her comedy muscles as a thirtysomething career woman hesitantly embarking on a relationship with a man 14 years her junior (Bryan Greenberg), unaware that the therapist (Meryl Streep) in whom she is confiding intimate details of her affair is his mother.
