The Accountant
Rain Man meets Jason Bourne appears to be the premise of this action thriller starring Ben Affleck as an autistic accountant who is a dab hand as a hitman, too. But with suspicious US treasury agents on his tail he takes a legitimate job for a robotics company, only for the gig to turn deadly after Anna Kendrick’s accounts clerk finds a multi-million-dollar hole in the books. If you can handle the movie’s iffy basis and ludicrous plot then it does deliver some entertaining shoot-’em-up thrills. 2016, 15, 128MIN
