The Hundred-foot Journey
director Lasse Hallström serves up the cinematic equivalent of comfort food with this culinary culture-clash comedy. The film may be cosy and predictable but it goes down a treat. The setting is a small, picturesque village in the south of France where Helen Mirren’s snooty, Michelin-starred restaurant goes head-to-head with Om Puri’s new Indian eaterie in a tit-for-tat battle of wills.
