Sally faces jail when her courtroom plan backfires
WITH THE PROSPECT of Sally going to prison for fraud seeming increasingly likely, it probably wouldn’t be the best time for the former mayor to sack her solicitor. But that’s exactly what Sally does when she catches Sophie and Paula together on the morning of her pre-trial hearing. But as soon as she gets in the stand and admits to the judge that she will be representing herself, it’s clear she’s made a mistake.
And to make matters worse, Sally’s been contacting people on the witness list, something that Imran wastes no time at all in revealing to the judge. Sally desperately tries to rehire Paula, but it seems the damage might have already been done. And when Tim confronts Imran over his performance in court, what happens next makes Sally look guiltier than ever. Despite her being innocent, it’s looking like Sally could be going to jail for a long time. How will she fare if she ends up behind bars? And with Gina back home comforting a worried Tim, where does this leave the Metcalfes’ marriage?
PLUS Evelyn manages to upset the locals at a pub quiz, Leanne and Toyah want revenge on Imran, and Hannah wonders whether Jim still has feelings for Liz when he questions if they’re going too far with their plan.
