VICTOR HUGO’S CLASSIC TALE, set against the backdrop of political tensions in France in the early 19th century, is adapted by Andrew Davies for this epic six-part series. Dominic West stars as fugitive Jean Valjean, who is relentlessly pursued by dogged policeman Javert (David Oyelowo). Olivia Colman, Lily Collins and Josh O’connor also feature.
