It’s Christmas week in the Irish coming-of-age comedy and the residents of the Cork estate, where teen Conor (Alex Murphy) and his best friend and foster brother Jock (Chris Walley) live, have been trying to stop the council from evicting them for over a month.

Meanwhile, Conor’s mother, Mairead (Hilary Rose), is in hospital. The boys don’t know how to help her and ask if there’s anything she wants. Her answer sets them off on a chaotic adventure as they try to make her wish come true, involving an interactio­n with a movie star…
