Deep Water

ANNA FRIEL heads the cast of an emotional new thriller

-

HERE’S A SNEAK PEEK at ITV’S new Lake District-set drama Deep Water, adapted by Mrs Wilson writer Anna Symon from Paula Daly’s Windermere novels.

The six-part series follows the lives of three very different women who meet at the school gates and are all trying to do the best for their families. Anna Friel stars as chaotic mum-of-three Lisa, who is also running a business, while Little Boy Blue’s Sinead Keenan plays physiotherapist Roz and Howards End’s Rosalind Eleazar is wealthy Kate.

As Roz struggles with debts run up by her partner, Winston (Charlie Carrick), she receives an unexpected offer that could change her life forever.

Meanwhile, Kate’s perfect existence with husband Guy (Alastair Mackenzie) may not be all that it seems and when she invites Lisa and her taxi-driver husband Joe (Steven Cree) for dinner, Lisa ends up making a spontaneous decision that has shocking repercussions.

‘It’s funny, sexy, truthful and often outrageous, and should have the audience asking what they would do to hold their own family together,’ says ITV’S head of drama, Polly Hill.
