Miami Vice

TV & Satellite Week - - Films Day-by-day -

5Star, 9pm/5star+1, 10pm

No pastel suits. No bikini-clad starlets. No alligator named Elvis. This re-imagining by director Michael Mann of his slick 1980s TV series turns the whole Miami Vice concept into a hard-boiled police procedural thriller. With moody visuals, intense action sequences and a tarnished sense of romance, it is recklessly paced, intricately plotted and brutally effective as undercover cops Crockett and Tubbs (Colin Farrell and Jamie Foxx) are seconded into the FBI for a sting operation against a Colombian drug baron.2006, 15, 133MIN
