Glastonbury Thu & Fri, BBC4 HD & BBC2 HD, times vary
THIS WEEK SHOULD have seen the start of the 2020 Glastonbury music festival. But with the event cancelled, the BBC will be celebrating some of the festival’s greatest performances instead. On Thursday, catch Julien Temple’s acclaimed film Glastonbury (BBC4 HD, 10pm), which documents the history of the festival. On Friday, there are archive shows from Elbow, Arthur Lee’s Love and Jay-z on BBC4 HD, while The Glastonbury
Experience Live on BBC2 HD (8.30pm) sees Jo Whiley and Mark Radcliffe introduce highlights from the archive, followed by Beyoncé’s 2011 set (10pm) and a look at the best moments from 2019 (11.30pm).
NEW The Choir: Singing for Britain
Tuesday, BBC2 HD, 9pm
WITH PEOPLE IN isolation turning to music to help them through the crisis, this series follows Gareth Malone over the past few months as he forms the Great British Home Chorus, encouraging amateurs and professionals to sing with others online. ‘We all need music in our lives, especially in adversity,’ says Malone.
DC’S Legends of Tomorrow
Thursday, Sky One HD, 8pm
THERE ARE EVEN more crazy antics than usual in this week’s episode when Charlie tries to protect the Legends from her Fate sisters by scattering them in different television shows. Sara, Ava and Mick (left) are transported into a show called Star Trip, while Nate, Behrad and Zari inhabit a sitcom called Ultimate Buds.
