Jack stuns Max with a plot to keep hold of his stepson
As Jack and Charlie fight it out over who should raise baby Matthew, one man is going to be left sorely disappointed – and Jack is determined that it won’t be him. In fact, he’s so desperate to keep hold of Ronnie’s nipper that he resorts to extreme measures.
The grieving ex copper comes up with the drastic idea as Charlie continues to pile on the pressure. Not only does the fella gatecrash Honey’s trip to the playground with Matthew, Amy and Ricky, but he tells Jack that he has informed Social Services of his intention to apply for residency of Matthew.
Stacey tries to remind Jack of the reality of the situation – Charlie is Matthew’s biological father and has rights. But Jack won’t budge. He’s sure that
Matthew is better off with him, and embarks on a radical solution.
Max soon clocks his brother’s plan, and tries to reason with him – unaware that Ricky and Amy are listening in. Meanwhile, as the pressure continues to build, Jack gets a shock in the form of an unexpected visitor. Can this mystery person persuade him to see sense?
