Cv so far: swedish actress Myanna, 37, guested in Casualty and Doctor Who before starring in hit us film franchise The Twilight Saga, and has more recently been seen in Downton Abbey and Bbc’s period drama Ripper Street.

Plans for summer: the starring role as feisty pregnant detective Helen weeks in Bbc1’s four-part crime drama In The Dark, written by Ordinary Lies creator danny Brocklehurst.

Myanna says: ‘i have such respect for danny Brocklehurst and [executive producer] Hilary Martin’s work.’

TV Times verdict: the role will cement Myanna as a leading lady.
