Why peel a potato with a knife when you could let a fancy contraption do it for you? In this very funny series, technophobe Marcus Brigstocke and his mate, gadget fan Alexis Conran, compare low-tech and hi-tech ways of doing things, from cooking to surviving ‘off grid’. In the first of this opening double bill, they’re in the French Alps where they have a swimming race in 1°C water. Will Alex, in a heated wetsuit, fare better than Marcus, who is relying on ‘my fat and this goose fat’? Hmm…
