Zac falls for Leah – literally. Drunk as a skunk and desperate to persuade her to put the brakes on their divorce, he climbs onto her roof and declares his love, only to slip and plummet to the ground. It’s touch and go as the wannabee writer is rushed into hospital but he pulls through after emergency surgery. His brush with death isn’t enough to make Leah change her mind, though – she tells him that, while she still cares about him, they’re better off as friends.
Meanwhile, as Zac talks to Hunter about Charlotte, he recalls their Christmas Eve break-up. Hunter remembers how he was always told he was a New Year’s Eve baby, and tells VJ he suspects
Zac isn’t his real dad.
