Young Imran Maalik is no fan of James Nightingale after the way he drove his father to suicide, so when Yas tells him she has a plan to embarrass the lawyer and his whole family, he doesn’t take much persuading to join in. Before long, the troublesome teens have produced their own newspaper, ‘The Maalik Observer,’ outlining just how terrible the family are. Battle lines are drawn, and Buster tries to smooth relations by suggesting that the opposing clans get together to clear the air. Marnie tells James that he isn’t welcome, but he turns up anyway and starts to press everyone’s buttons, prompting Imran to lose it.

Meanwhile, James isn’t the only Nightingale giving Marnie a headache. She and Ellie are worried by Alfie’s change in behaviour. They have no idea that he is in fact suffering from a mental illness called Schizoaffective Disorder. Sami seems to get through to him, but then Alfie hears a voice, telling him not to trust his family. And later, when Ellie tries to cheer him up with a picnic, a male voice tells him to have nothing to do with his sister.

Elsewhere, Sienna stops Joel from confessing about his and Cleo’s affair. And Leela reels when Ste supports Ryan rather than her, after doctors reveal Tegan has brain damage.
