Dark Heart to return

after a successful pilot, tom riley’s crime drama will be back for a full series…

filming begins this month on itv crime thriller Dark Heart starring tom riley (Monroe) as di Will Wagstaffe, a man haunted by the murder of his parents when he was 16.

inspired by adam creed’s bestsellers, the series is written by chris lang (Unforgotten), who penned the 2016 pilot that makes up the first two episodes of the six-parter.

‘it’s such a treat to be able to revisit the world of di Will Wagstaffe,’ says chris. ‘for me he is that most unusual of things, a tv cop, whose personal story is just as compelling as the cases he investigates.’
