Hazel Irvine is at the Gold Coast in Queensland, Australia for the opening ceremony of the Commonwealth Games (10.30am). Day one events include the triathlons; look out for Yorkshire champion Alistair Brownlee and his brother Jonny. At the Opus Aquatic Centre, Scotland swimmer Hannah Miley will be hoping for a third gold in the 400m individual medley final, while England’s Adam Peaty and Scotland’s Ross Murdoch will also be defending the titles they won four years ago in Glasgow.
