We’ve missed the Cold Feet gang so it’s very exciting to hear that filming is getting under way in Manchester for the next series!

The ITV comedy drama’s eighth season is set to air later this year and James Nesbitt, who plays Adam, tells TV Times he can’t wait to get back to work with co-stars Hermione Norris (Karen), Robert Bathurst (David), John Thomson (Pete) and Fay Ripley (Jenny).

‘I’m excited about what we are going to do this year,’ says James, 53, who we’ll be seeing next in the third series of Sky One’s Lucky Man.

‘We’re going to try to get back to what it was at its utter best and show what happens to the characters at this stage of their lives. Has the canvas of their lives almost been filled in or do we start a whole new canvas – and is there a bit more life in all of us yet?’

James remains thrilled about how well the series has been received since its 2016 revival

– despite having some initial reservations about bringing it back.

‘I was resistant to doing it again for years but then these good scripts came up,’ he says. ‘It’s so great that it has been a success.’
