Robert’s worried but aaron and Cain are like, ‘Don’t worry, we’ll sort it out’
Things are never quiet in the world of Robron, are they? If it wasn’t enough that Aaron’s kid sister,
Liv, almost did away with Lisa Dingle recently, this week they have another drama on their hands when Aaron’s kidnapped. He’s held hostage by Syd Macfarlane – the crook who escaped from the prison van with Adam Barton at New Year.
It’s all smiles at the start of the week when Robron get one over on Joe Tate. The pair are no fans of the smug schemer, especially since he got a confused Rebecca arrested for breaking into Home Farm, after she mistakenly thought she still lived there. With a little help from Jimmy, Robert gets the businessman to sign a dodgy contract, and before long, Joe is being arrested.
But as they’re congratulating themselves on a job well done, someone’s lurking in the shadows and watching them. And later,
Aaron is horrified to find Syd at
Mill Cottage, holding baby Seb and demanding £100,000 to guarantee the tot’s safety. Has Joe realised that it was Robert who stitched him up, and paid Syd to exact revenge? Or has Syd cooked up this plan all on his own? He does have leverage, remember, and could easily grass Cain and Aaron up to the cops for helping Adam’s prison break out.
‘Syd’s there, holding Seb, and Aaron then tells Robert,’ says Danny Miller, who plays Aaron. ‘Robert’s really worried, but Aaron and Cain are like, “Don’t worry, we’ll sort it out.”’
When Syd later calls, Aaron agrees to meet up with him – but he has no intention of handing over a penny. Robert’s worried, especially when Cain and Aaron suggest that violence is the only way to stop Syd’s threats. But, he tags along with the Dingle duo when they head off to sort Syd out, and the trio then ambush Syd and beat him up.
Robert thinks it’s a case of problem solved, but he’s in for a shock. Later, he receives a video call from his boyfriend’s phone, and is horrified to see him gagged and bound to a chair. It seems their antics have backfired, massively.
Can he and Cain rescue Aaron before Syd gets even nastier? And is Joe Tate involved in the attack?
