What has Hunter got against Phil?

-

Mel’s son feigns a friendship with the Walford hard man. But what is he up to… and why?

Phil Mitchell gets himself a little helper this week who couldn’t be any more different to the mechanic – he’s young, good looking and has fantastic hair.

He’s Mel Owen’s son, Hunter, and when he asks Phil to show him the ropes at the garage, Phil’s more than happy to oblige.

But while Phil thinks he’s got an eager apprentice on his hands, the truth is that Hunter would rather tend to Big Mo’s bunions than become pally with the Walford hard nut. Question is, what has Hunter got against Phil – and what does he intend to do about it?

The pair are first brought together at a Mitchell faaamly dinner, where Hunter comes along as a guest of his girlfriend, Louise.

Phil’s not the friendly sort, so everyone is surprised when he and Hunter hit it off. But when Mel finds out where her son is, she’s fuming. Storming round to the Mitchells’ gaff, she has a blazing row with Sharon, who’s three sheets to the wind and ends up blurting out a bombshell that leaves Hunter stunned.

Has Shazbang told him about Phil and Mel’s one-night stand? Whatever it is, Phil goes from hero to zero in Hunter’s eyes, who gets a steely look on his face…

Later, the teen asks Phil to train him up at the Arches, much to Mel’s disapproval. All the while, Hunter continues his relationship with Louise, and tells her he wants to have sex. Louise, after confiding in Bex, decides she’s ready to take things further.

Meanwhile, when Mel’s handbag and some booze is stolen from the club, Hunter suggests that Phil connect his phone up to the CCTV system to keep an eye out.

What dastardly deed is he plotting? And how will Phil react when he discovers he’s been taken for a ride?
