Michelle hardwick (right) says her character Vanessa’s openly gay relationship with Charity Dingle has had a huge, positive reaction. ‘It’s gone nuts on Twitter,’ she tells us. ‘I get so many messages saying: “You’ve helped us come out.” I came out to my family when I was 28-29. I didn’t have the courage before that. But then again, I had no role model to look up to.’
