Returning from his jolly,

i f you go down to the woods today, you’re sure of a big surprise… as the old ditty goes. Will that be the case for the village kids this week? On a camping trip with the grown-ups, they go exploring, and are spooked to hear strange noises. Unbeknown to them, it’s Emmerdale’s very own woman in chains, Rebecca White, who is being held captive in a shed by nutty nephew Lachlan.

Lachlan has since confessed to his aunt that he was the one responsible for Lawrence and Chrissie’s fatal car crash and the demise of best pal, Gerry. Oh, and he’s also now beggared off on holiday. Charming!

‘Rebecca’s desperate to see her son Seb,’ reveals Emily Head, who plays the incarcerated blonde,

‘and that is what is driving her through, and keeping her alive.

‘But she’s in a right old state. She knocks over her last bottle of water, and then becomes dehydrated and exhausted.’

As Lachlan lives it up with Belle, over in the village Nicola King plans a trip of her own – a night under canvas with Jimmy and the children, dad Rodney and his sexmad girlfriend, Misty, who’ll no doubt be channelling her inner fox. Bob and their brood to join them. Relations between Bob and Laurel aren’t great, given that he recently kept her in the dark about losing his job. Will an outdoor ‘adventure’ help heal their rift?

At the site, Bob and Jimmy wind up the young ’uns about the ‘beast of Ilkley Moor’ while Misty entertains them with tales of the afterlife. Soon, they head off in search of firewood, but as they wander through the woods, they hear noises in the distance.

The parents quickly dismiss their concerns, but the children are convinced they’ve heard a ghost and, when they get home, they make plans to return to the woods to investigate further. This is bad news for Lachlan. he panics to hear where they are and dashes off; desperate to reach Rebecca before they do.

Will Rebecca be rescued, or will loopy Lachlan get there first?
