Sophie gets passionate with Sally’s solicitor, Paula…
Having recently found out that solicitor Paula’s daughter is a lesbian – just like her own – Sally Metcalfe embarks on a spot of matchmaking this week.
Sally arranges for the mothers and daughters to get together at the Bistro. But it’s not daughters Sophie and Isla who end up getting it together – it’s Sophie and Paula!
The mums sell the meet-up as a casual lunch, but it doesn’t take long for their offspring to twig that there’s more to it, and the girls are mortified to realise that their mums assume they will hit it off just because they bat for the same team.
Sal’s disappointed as love fails to blossom, but as she licks her wounds, Paula calls at the house and makes it clear to Sophie that she’s interested in her, herself.
The chemistry sizzles as Paula explains that she’s bisexual and, before long, the pair get steamy on the sofa. Sally may have wanted a ‘hands-on’ solicitor, but no doubt this wasn’t what she had in mind.
Sally has no idea that No.4 has become a hotbed of passion, and hosts a dinner party to try to set Paula up with Kevin. She thinks her ex-husband has caught the eye of Gina and wants to nip a potential romance in the bud by giving Kev someone else to think about. But while Paula only has eyes for Soph, Gina secretly eyes up Tim.
Sophie and Paula panic when Sally later finds them having a drink together. Although the pair manage to talk themselves out of the sticky situation, Paula tries to put her pal off the scent by agreeing to go on a date with Kevin. But how long until she and Sophie are busted?
