In 2017, BBC’S Children in need appeal raised a record £60.7 million to help disadvantaged children around Britain, and this year the show’s presenters are hoping to top that!

With an all-star presenting line-up including Tess Daly, Mel Giedroyc, Graham Norton, Ade Adepitan, Rochelle and Marvin Humes plus new addition Rob Beckett you can expect fun, laughter and the odd tear.

‘I think it’s one of the most special nights on the BBC,’ says

Mel. ‘It feels like a brilliant coming together of people and it brings out the best in everyone. It’s also really good fun, with loads of entertainment, and it genuinely makes me feel proud to be British.’

This Friday, from 7.30pm until late, we can look forward to the usual musical extravaganzas as well as star-studded sketches and lots of TV specials.

‘We hope that we can at least match last year’s total,’ adds Tess. ‘Every penny that gets pledged on the night genuinely makes a difference and there’s so much generosity in this country.

‘The money raised helps to make a positive difference to so many young lives across the UK and it’s a huge privilege being a part of that.’
