Graham’s on the brink... He probably needs to talk to a priest

The saga of Joe Tate’s ‘disappearance’ plods on, with Debbie flummoxed as to why her fiancé went AWOL, and Cain wrongly believing he murdered the love of his daughter’s life – all the while as guilty Graham stumbles around the village in a drunken stupor, hiding the fact that it was actually he who bumped off the buff businessman. This week, Graham continues to knock back the booze, and with every drop of alcohol he downs he becomes more of a loose cannon, to the point where he suggests to Debbie that her father knows more about Joe’s departure than he’s letting on…

Graham’s fall from the wagon has been a cause for concern for Cain for some time, but it’s a blessing for Nicola King, who wants to take control of Home James Haulage.

When Graham has a beer during their meeting, she tempts him with some wine to make him even less compos mentis, then spies an opportunity to move in for the kill…

As Graham goes further off the rails, Megan spots him about to drink-drive and tries to talk sense into him, but he misinterprets her concern and tries to kiss her. His booze breath isn’t the biggest turn on, and she knocks him back.

Meanwhile, Debbie remains in turmoil, but she’s not the only one wanting answers. Young Noah loved the bones of his big brother and can’t understand why Joe suddenly abandoned him.

Desperate to find out more, he confronts Graham, who orders the teen to come with him to Butlers Farm, saying the Barton residence is where he’ll find all the answers he needs. Debbie opens the door, and is stunned when Graham then implies that Cain is hiding something about Joe’s mysterious exit from the village.

‘He’s on the brink of exploding,’ says Andrew Scarborough, who plays Graham. ‘He’s full of booze and he’s finding it difficult to keep it all inside, but at the same time he knows he must. He probably needs to talk to a priest.’

Will Debbie confront her dad about what he knows? And if so, will Cain confess to Joe’s ‘murder’?
