Noth­ing makes me hap­pier than ap­plaud­ing great tele­vi­sion, so a big thank you to the thou­sands of you who voted for your top pro­grammes and favourite stars in our pres­ti­gious an­nual awards. We meet all the wor­thy win­ners, in­clud­ing my choices for two very spe­cial Ed­i­tor’s Awards…

View­ers were ut­terly en­thralled by political thriller Body­guard when it aired ear­lier this year, mak­ing it the BBC’S most watched drama since 2008. So it’s no sur­prise that it has won not one, not two, but three TV Times Awards!

Kee­ley Hawes is ab­so­lutely de­lighted with the Favourite Ac­tress tro­phy for her star turn as Home Sec­re­tary Ju­lia Mon­tague.

‘Feel­ing very proud and grate­ful,’ says Kee­ley, who also ac­cepted the Favourite Drama gong on be­half of the whole Body­guard team.

‘I’d like to say a huge thanks to TV Times and its read­ers for their sup­port of Body­guard.

I share these awards with the show’s amaz­ing cast, crew and pro­duc­tion team that I was lucky enough to be a part of.’

Mean­while, Kee­ley’s co-star Richard Mad­den is chuffed to have scooped this year’s Favourite Ac­tor award for his por­trayal of haunted war vet­eran David Budd. Richard has been in Los

Body­guard in Amer­ica so hasn’t had time to col­lect his tro­phy yet, but he has asked us to pass on this message…
