BLUE PLANET II

Favourite Factual Show

TV Times - - Tv Times Awards 2018 -

BBC1’S Blue Planet II, narrated by Sir David Attenborough, gave us an extraordinary glimpse at some wonderful marine wildlife as well as delivering a vital policy-changing message about the damage caused by plastic waste in our oceans.

‘We promise our audience the extreme close-up of wildlife; we know it thrills them – it thrills us, too – and we are delighted Blue

Planet II has been awarded Favourite Factual Show,’ says Julian Hector, head of the BBC’S Natural History Unit, pictured with the award. ‘The view of the creatures hidden by the waves in Blue Planet II not only allows us to tell stories of their remarkable lives, it also gives us the opportunity to speak of their fragility as more human pressure is placed upon our one ocean.’
