Edge of Tomorrow

earth is fighting off an alien invasion – and losing. Tom Cruise is sent into battle, but dies in action the first day. Then he wakes to live the same day again and again… Yes, it’s a sci-fi Groundhog Day, but it’s a kinetic, rip-roaring adventure with flashy, truly exciting set pieces. Cruise is particularly good but is matched by Emily Blunt’s tough soldier. The finale is a tad by-numbers, but you’ll have a lot of fun getting there.
