another chance to see one of this year’s best dramas, starring a revelatory Hugh Grant as troubled politician Jeremy Thorpe. Two episodes air tonight, and after the final episode tomorrow there’s a showing of a Panorama about the case. Made in 1979, in the expectation that Thorpe would be found guilty at his Old Bailey trial for incitement to murder, it was pulled after the Liberal leader was sensationally acquitted.
