Bob’s life goes from bad to worse when he’s forced to sleep rough

Talk about a change of fortunes… Back in the Autumn, life seemed positively peachy for Bob Hope – he’d shacked up with lover Laurel, and their respective kids had finally adjusted to the new living arrangements.

But just a few months later, Laurel kicked him into touch. Now, he has no home to call his own and, after handing the café over to ex Brenda, he has no regular income either.

Unable to pay the bill for his stay at the B&B, Bob is inevitably forced to leave, and eventually ends up sleeping rough.

‘Bob is too proud to admit what’s going on, and doesn’t want to trouble anyone. He feels guilty because of everything he did to Brenda,’ says Tony Audenshaw, who plays him. ‘And he certainly doesn’t want to bother Laurel.

‘Things are going to get very low, but he’s aware it’s his own doing. Brenda has said on more than one occasion that he’ll end up with nothing, and that’s the way it’s going.’

Bob’s situation is made all the more bleak given the perilously cold Winter weather, which makes him prone to hypothermia. Will his plight be uncovered before it’s too late?
