The bells are ringing out in Portwenn for Morwenna Newcross and Al Large’s wedding day in the series finale of Doc Martin. Well, not quite, since pub landlord Al (Joe Absolom) and doctor’s receptionist Morwenna (Jessica Ransom) aren’t getting married in church but on the beach.
Still, it promises to be a great occasion. With PC Joe Penhale (John Marquez) as best man, opposite maid of honour Janice Bone (Robyn Addison) – his former fiancée, who left him at the altar – what could possibly go wrong?
Plenty, of course, starting with Morwenna’s parents missing their flight from Kenya, meaning she has no one to walk her down the aisle!
