trewth! Sharon is back in the Square this week from Australia. Last time we saw her, she was faced with Phil’s proposition that they put her affair with Keanu behind them by reuniting and running The

Vic. Has she reached a decision?

Phil is floored by her arrival, and when their attempt to talk is interrupted by Ben, Sharon goes to see Linda, and reveals she’s made her mind up – she wants to give her relationship with her estranged hubby another go.

‘For all his flaws, Phil will always be “the one” for Sharon,’ says Letitia Dean, who plays her. ‘They have been through a lot, but there is still so much love there.’

But there’s another man in Shazbang’s life – her and Keanu’s baby son, Kayden. She previously handed him to Karen to raise, saying she wanted nothing to do with him. But as she’s having a drink in The Vic with Phil, Karen turns up with the tot in tow, and the sight of her baby sends Sharon’s emotions into a flurry.

The following day, Sharon resolves to leave things as is, and calls at the Taylor flat to drop off some of Kayden’s belongings. But things change for ever when Karen, keen to get changed for her leaving party, thrusts Kayden into her arms.

‘When Sharon holds Kayden, she feels an overwhelming wave of motherly love,’ reveals Letitia. ‘And when he falls asleep in her arms, she starts to see him as her baby. She feels very connected to him, something that hasn’t happened up to this point.’

But Sharon’s aware that a future with both Phil and Kayden may not be an option. ‘Bringing Kayden into the equation would certainly rock the boat,’ says Letitia.

Back at the Mitchells’, as she and Phil look to the future, Sharon’s clearly torn. Will she choose motherhood over her marriage?
