The Man Who Haunted Himself
★★★ MYSTERY A pre-james Bond Roger Moore gives perhaps his best screen performance in this interesting chiller-thriller about a man who finds that his life is being taken over by his ‘double’. Director Basil Dearden conjures up a few moments of genuine suspense in a move that’s become a bit of a minor cult classic. Freddie Jones’ twitching, pill-swallowing psychiatrist steals the supporting honours from a gallery of colourful minor characters.
