Mellow yellow: The Thomas brothers in Jejuri

The final leg of the Indian adventure for Thomas brothers Ryan, Adam and Scott and their dad Dougie sees them celebrate their deceased Great Aunt Pansy with a game of hockey. A trailblazer for the game back in the day, her skill on the hockey pitch certainly doesn’t appear to run in the family! They end their journey at the Golden Festival in the rural town of Jejuri, a five-hour train ride from Mumbai, which celebrates family and health by throwing bright yellow turmeric everywhere. A colourful end to a fun and emotional trip that has brought three generations of Thomas men closer. ★★★ JL
