Jeff Hordley Cain
How does it feel to be back at work?
I’m pleased, as I believe that we have to, in some way, get on and try and resume a new normal. And I loved the idea of a two-hander episode. I love working with Danny Miller, and I think Cain and Aaron have got a great rapport.
How did you cope with learning so many lines?
I spent most days after I received the script looking at it. But I had the time to, which was good. There was more to learn, but the writer has got a really good handle on the dialogue and the relationship between Cain and Aaron, so it was easy.
It must feel strange, having to keep your distance from people you normally work so closely with… There are new regulations about working in the studio, and we’ve had to adhere to the two-metre ruling. So you come into a space and the other actor has to be two metres away, and then you will be told to move somewhere else so they can move. It feels like a dance, always keeping a two-metre distance.
Will you watch your episode?
I will definitely be keen to see it. It will be interesting, as the shots might be quite different. But I think there are some positives – one of them being that all these episodes will be more character-focused and less event-based.
The audience has invested in the characters, and it will be good to just see them breathe and talk – not necessarily about that much, but just being who they are.
