Metcalfes in crisis Geoff drives a wedge between Sally and Tim

asmeen isn’t the only person who has been manipulate­d by Geoff. Tim has been taken in by his father’s jolly ‘jiggle-it-geoff’ facade, and has no idea of the monster that lurks beneath.

As he continues to support the pensioner in the wake of Yasmeen’s violent attack, deep cracks form in his relationsh­ip with Sally, who’s starting to believe that Yasmeen – not Geoff – is the real victim.

Sally’s so suspicious of Geoff that she refuses to sit with him and Tim in the Rovers. Geoff is riled by her public rebuff and, desperate to have her on side – if only for show – he confronts her at the factory.

Trying to make Sal look like the bad guy, he argues that, in making Tim choose between the two of them, she is causing her hubby so much stress that he could keel over.

the former mayor chucked him out of her house because she has taken Yasmeen’s side. The teen is incredulou­s, and confronts her dad and stepmum on the cobbles about the appalling way they have treated her poor, injured grandad.

Tim coaxes Faye into No.4, where she packs her bags and insists she’s moving in with Geoff to show her support. The cabbie is furious with Sal – first she drove his dad out of their home and now she’s done the same with his daughter.

‘Tim just doesn’t seem to be listening to Sally at this point,’ says Sally Dynevor, who plays the dubious wife. ‘He’s supporting his dad.’
