Fiz is devastated to discover that Tyrone’s in a relationship with Alina

From the moment Tyrone moved back into No.9, Fiz was destined to be crying more snotty tears. Though she assured him it was just for the girls’ sake, she’s been hoping they could rekindle their spark – little realising he’s been nipping over the road to have the best sex of his life with Alina.
This week, the inevitable happens as Fiz finally discovers the truth – and it’s not just her own upset she has to deal with, but that of daughter Hope, who turns into the omen child again.
Ty was bound to be caught out sooner rather than later, and it’s canny Maria who’s first to cotton on, thanks to some ‘intel’ from Emma. Earlier, Emma clocks Lucas flirting with Alina, so when she then walks in on her flatmate having some sexy time, she assumes that the businessman is Alina’s conquest.
But when Emma mentions the mortifying moment to Maria in the Rovers, Maria manages to wheedle out of the barmaid that she didn’t actually
see Lucas – just some jeans strewn on the floor. Maria twigs that it was Tyrone who Alina was getting jiggy with, and warns him to put Fiz straight.
All the while, Fiz continues to live in cloud cuckoo land. As Emma wrongly reports that Alina and Lucas are now an item, and she gets confirmation of a hotel booking made by Tyrone, she thinks everything’s headed in the right direction.
Her dreams come crashing down when
Lucas has a ding-dong with Alina, who’s been pretending they’re lovers.
Fiz is drawn into the barney and realises Tyrone and Alina are together, and Ty arrives back from a call-out to face her fury, as young Hope listens in.
‘Fiz feels so guilty about putting Hope through this – that’s why she wanted to stick it out; for her and Ruby,’ says
Jennie Mcalpine, who plays Fiz.
‘Ruby isn’t hers, biologically, but she loves them both.’
Hope later turns on her daddy, prompting Chesney to invite his niece round for a playdate to help cheer her up. But the youngster attacks Joseph, and as Fiz frets, Ty pours salt into her wounds by accidentally sending her photos of his and Alina’s romantic night away.
Heartbroken and alone, can she find the strength to cope?
