Sharon gets an address for Leanne. Are the mum and her family doomed?
What a small world Weatherfield is. It just so happens that drugs boss Harvey is the nephew of Rita’s former foster daughter, Sharon – which has come in rather handy for Harv, who needs someone to hunt down and silence Leanne after she grassed him up to the cops.
This week, as Harvey remains behind bars and Rita enjoys vodka tonics and girly chats with the woman she believes is back to rebuild their relationship, shady Sharon continues her mission to find out where the devil Leanne and co are hiding.
‘When Sharon got cancer, her brother Wayne – who was Harvey’s dad – got her through it, and she feels she owes him,’ explains
Tracie Bennett, who plays Sharon.
‘Wayne has since died, and
Harvey is emotionally blackmailing her. He’s like,
“Find Leanne, and I don’t care how you do it.”’
Leanne and Nick are confident their secret hideout is just that – secret – and are unaware Simon has given their address to his dad. Meanwhile, Harvey has his spies at Weatherfield General, where transplant patient Peter is being treated. Learning of his discharge, they spy on him in the car park as he meets Carla, and follow the duo as they drive off.
Back on the cobbles, Sharon calls round to the Barlows’ house with some flowers for the ailing cabbie, but it’s actually just a ruse to get her mitts on Carla’s phone. Craftily swiping the device, she quickly takes a copy of Leanne’s new address from it, then puts the phone back in Carla’s handbag.
Leaving No.1, she calls Harvey’s heavy with the details and orders him to get over to the property, sharpish. Are Leanne and co’s lives in danger?
