Happy Valley
One of our favourite TV writers, Sally Wainwright, is apparently at work on a third series of BBC1’S hit crimedrama Happy Valley, so it’s possible that we could see it next year. Drama channel, meanwhile, is going back to the beginning of the series from tonight. Sarah Lancashire (who’s due to star in an HBO show about chef Julia Child with Frasier’s David Hyde Pierce) plays a police sergeant in a small Yorkshire town blighted by drug use, with a brilliant supporting cast including Siobhan Finneran, James Norton and Steve Pemberton.
