Do you have a favourite moment from the show?
Paul’s handshake for my
Pastry Week Showstopper terrine. It meant so much because it was a sentimental family bake. And I’ll never forget that petrifying sugar dome [right] in Caramel Week!
What will you take away with you?
Cuts and burns and the realisation I suck at Technicals! But also 11 incredible friends, and I’ll believe in myself more. I’m proud of myself.
What was the best advice the judges gave you?
To read my own recipe! I power through but sometimes I forget simple things.
Tell us about your future plans…
I’d love to do more with food, whether that’s baking or recipe developing. I want to showcase Portuguese-goan cuisine.
What would you bake
for TV Times?
A feast! Samosas, Goan fish curry and a chai-spiced sponge. They’re staples at family gatherings!
DAME PRUE SAYS ‘Crystelle’s decoration is exquisite, and she has great attention to detail.’
PAUL SAYS ‘Crystelle’s baking is based around her family. She really improved and had great flavours.’
