Will Harvey shop Aaron?

He’s distraught when he fails to get through to his racist son

-

Having first just seemed like a flash, brash City boy, Aaron Monroe has been swiftly revealed as a far-right extremist who’s prepared to do whatever it takes to fight his ‘cause’.

Dad Harvey knows the lad is in deep, and has been rocked by his recent attempt to blow up The Argee Bhajee, the planned site of a new mosque. As Aaron is tasked with a new ‘job’, can his dad keep quiet?

Although appalled by Aaron’s actions, Harvey has so far protected him. As the week kicks off, he urges Aaron to keep a low profile, and hopes that, in destroying his laptop and phone, he has cut him off from his racist ‘pals’.

But it’s not that easy. Soon, Aaron gets a visit from gang leader Neil, who shows him a disturbing video and accuses him of being a grass. Harvey interrupts and orders Neil out, only for the thug to threaten to hurt Dana.

Terrified for his daughter’s safety, Harvey calls Dana home, and an equally worried Aaron comes up with a plan to persuade his friends that Neil has lost the plot and needs flushing out. But he returns from his mission with mixed news.

Our Walford mole reveals, ‘Aaron says he has convinced them about Neil, but in return for their support, he must take Neil’s place for the Manchester operation.’

Aaron insists to Harvey that taking the job is the only way to keep his family safe, and tells Dana that he’s heading up North ‘for work’.

But when Bobby spots something suspicious, he informs his girlfriend, and Dana confronts her brother. Aaron’s rattled, and tries to contain the situation by suggesting that Bobby is manipulating her, and she should make a fresh start in Manchester with him.

Harvey begs him not to leave and even tries to bribe him. He’s devastated by Aaron’s response.

Bobby then shows up, surprising them both… swiftly followed by the boys in blue.

Has Kathy’s grandson called them, or has Harvey stepped up and blown the whistle?
