Craigy and his fussing have frankly been getting on his girlfriend’s nerves!
The menopausal diagnosis has put pressure on their relationship, and proved something of a passion-killer.
Having your fella buy you a frumpy nightie specially made to keep you cool when the hot flushes strike hardly puts you in the mood for hanky-panky, even if he’s got your best interests at heart. So it’s no wonder the tension tears the pair apart this week when Faye flips – then makes a move on another man!
‘Craig’s trying his best to make sure that she’s OK,’ says Ellie Leach, who plays the frayed factory worker. ‘It’s done in the nicest way possible but she needs space to figure everything out for herself.
‘With the menopause comes mood swings, so that doesn’t help as she’s being nice one second, then horrible the next. Craig is left thinking that he can’t do anything right.’
PC Tinker goes behind Faye’s back, discreetly asking her boss Carla if she can make sure her employee isn’t put under any unnecessary stress at work while she learns to adapt to her new circumstances.
When she finds out about it, Faye fumes at the interference, and mortified Craig ends up packing his bags and moving back to his mum Beth’s! Immediately regretting pushing her man away, Faye struggles with her spiralling emotions.
Sadly, the damage is already done, and Ms Windass is heartbroken to clock Craig seemingly flirting with his cop colleague Jess the next day. Has he already moved on?
Feeling more fed up than ever, Faye later drowns her sorrows at some work drinks, and, after a few glasses of Freshco’s finest cheap fizz, she does something extremely unwise…
‘She’s missing Craig, and after seeing him with Jess, she reckons she should stop moping around as he’s clearly doing fine without her,’ continues Ellie. ‘So she makes a pass at Michael!’
How will her shocked colleague react to her trying to put the lips on him? And does this mean it’s over for good for Faye and Craig?
