A new series of Chris Lang’s brilliant crime drama is due in a few months, with Sinéad Keenan joining the cast as DCI Jessica James. But before that, ITV3 is going right back to the beginning with double bills every weeknight, starting tonight with the first two episodes. When a skeleton is found in the cellar of a demolished building, the cold-case squad headed up by DCI Cassie Stuart (Nicola Walker, currently starring in BBC1’S new Sunday-night drama Marriage) and DS Sunny Khan (Sanjeev Bhaskar) begin a murder hunt. An impressive guest-star cast includes Tom Courtenay, Gemma Jones and Ruth Sheen. ★★★★ JP
