Test Cricket: First Test
SPORT 10AM, SKY SPORTS THE HUNDRED, NOW
As Lord’s hosts the first of three Tests (play starts 11am), England captain Ben Stokes will be hoping for more fireworks from Jonny Bairstow after the Yorkshire big-hitter made four centuries in three Tests earlier this summer, plus an unbeaten 90 in the first T20 against South Africa last month. Spin bowler Keshav Maharaj took his 150th Test wicket in the Proteas’ most recent Test match, against Bangladesh in April. The Lord’s Test will be followed by matches at Old Trafford and The Oval. Highlights are at at 11.15pm on BBC2. ★★★★ RMC
