FAREWELL, NEIGHBOURS
Among my earliest memories of Australian soap Neighbours – which hit UK screens in 1986 – are of the coffee shop exploding and Harold saving Des Clarke, Mrs Mangel getting soaked by Madge reversing her car into a fire hydrant, and Jim Robinson having a heart attack. I have autism and Neighbours has been like a good friend to me. Now it’s been axed on Channel 5, I’m going to miss it. Calvin Saxton, Notts
